Dorette P. Polt, 84, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died early Monday morning in the Mountain View Care Center were she had been a resident for the past 9 years.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late George and Louise M. Linn Polt. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a warm gentle hearted person who always enjoyed a party.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain View Care Center, especially Janie, Kathy and Tim for their kind compassionate care.
Surviving are nieces and nephews; her great niece and care giver Geriann Venesky, Scranton.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Loraine Polt, Lucille Devine, Florence Kennerly and Mary Louise Jennings; two brothers, Gerard Polt and George Polt.
The Funeral will be Friday leaving from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. with Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Scranton.
