Ann Maskal

Ann Marie Boston Maskal, a lifelong resident of Scranton died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at home.

She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late William and Catherine McLain Boston. She graduated from Scranton Technical High School and attended Holy Rosary Church. She was a volunteer for Telespond Senior Services, Inc and prior to retirement she was employed for twenty years by Providence Pants.

She was Nana to her grandchildren and loved them dearly.

Surviving is a daughter, Cathy McGuigan and her husband Joseph, Hawaii; three sons, Michael Maskal Jr., and his wife Shannon, Scranton, Paul Maskal and his wife Mary, Scranton, Robert Maskal, Scranton; a brother, William Boston and his wife Carol, Scranton; two grandsons, Michael Maskal III and Matthew Maskal; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Boston; two sisters, Patricia J. Poch and Mary Lance.

Cremation services were held at the Maple Hill Crematory, Hanover Township.

The funeral will be Monday from the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 320 William Street. Inurnment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

Friends may call on Sunday 12 noon until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Telespond Senior Services, Inc., 1200 Saginaw Street, Scranton, PA 18505-3687.
