
Harold N. Groth

Harold Nathaniel Groth, 88, a longtime resident of Lansdale, died late Tuesday evening in the Dock Terrace, Towamencin, a part of the Dock Woods Community, after an illness. He and his wife the former V. Marie Bienas celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary May 19, 2008.
He was born August 15, 1919 in Germantown, the son of the late George J. and Elizabeth Lipsett Groth. He grew up in Hatfield and was a 1937 graduate of Hatfield High School. He was a tool and die maker and retired from the Burroughs Corporation, Paoli in 1982.
Also surviving are two daughters, Stephanie and her husband Joel Sherman, Mount Lebanon, Valerie M. and her husband Robert Miller Bean, Scranton; a brother, Edward J. Groth, Lansdale; two grandchildren, Zachery A. and Gabrielle M. Sherman, Mount Lebanon, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother George Groth.
Friends may call on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446. Committal and interment Services will follow at the WhiteMarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA, Montgomery County.
