She was born in Blue Point, NY, the daughter of Robert L. and Helen M. Morge Stitt, Patchogue, NY.

She was very devoted and loving to her family.

Also Surviving, a daughter, Alicia L. Gioia-Lucke, Scranton; a son, Thomas M. Gioia, Scranton; a sister Ellen Stitt-Bove, Calverton, NY, three brothers, James Stitt, Patchogue, NY, Robert Stitt, Blue Point, NY, David Stitt, Medford, NY, five grandsons, Thomas A. Gioia, Nickolas Gioia, Bryan Lucke, Anthony Gioia and Sean Lucke; ten nieces and nephews, two grand nephews; cousins, aunts and uncles.

A blessing service will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
