Teresa A. Comandy

Teresa A. Comandy, 84, a resident of Scranton, died Sunday morning in the Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. She and her husband Patsy Comandy would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on October 12th.

She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Kathryn Streznetski, a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. After retiring from the Scranton Lace Works she worked at her son's store, which was Gary's Corner Store in West Scranton.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sandy Walsh and her husband Paul, Moosic; a son, Gary Comandy and his wife Judianne Meoni-Comandy, Olyphant; several grandchildren, one great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.

She was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, on the corner of Pittston Avenue and Fig Street.
