
Charlotte Ann Benke

Charlotte Ann Benke, 88, a lifelong resident of East Mountain resident went home
to be with her savior on Thursday morning in the Golden Living Center.
She was widow of Clarence C. Benke who
died on February 12, 1990.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine
Plageman Sobeck, was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and ICS.
She was a member of the Gospel Hall.
Charlotte enjoyed walking whenever and wherever she was able to.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt,
mother in law and sister in law who will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli for all his
care.
Surviving are two grandsons, Charles C. Benke Jr., Scranton, Chad D. Benke and
his wife Misty, Tunkhannock; a granddaughter, Brenda E. Urpack and her husband
Joseph, Meshoppen; daughter in law, Ardith M. Benke, Scranton; five great
grandchildren, Ashley Hartman, Scranton, Brendan Price, Meshoppen, Christine
Urpack, Meshoppen, Peter Urpack, Meshoppen, Logan Benke, Tunkhannock;
three sister in laws, Loretta Gilroy,
Dolores Benke, and
Arlene Finan, both of Scranton; a brother in law, Russell Benke, Scranton;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Charles C. Benke, Sr., and a sister Catherine
R. Lindner.
The funeral will be Tuesday with Services at 10:00 a.m. in the Miller Bean
Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue. Interment,
Abington Hills Cemetery, S. Abington Township.
