Phyllis M. Nixon

Phyllis M. Nixon, 82, a resident of Scranton, formerly of Dover, NJ died
Friday night in the Hospice Community Care, Dunmore after a brief illness. She
was the widow of Fred Nixon who died in 1988.
She was born in Carbondale, the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia
Lovito Sirianni. She was a graduate of Carbondale High School and prior to
retirement had been employed for 39 years by Alcoa Howmet, Dover NJ as a
supervisor.
Surviving is a son, Fred Nixon, III., Scranton; a brother, Anthony
Sirianni, Belvedere, NJ; a sister, Evelyn Kucharski, Carbondale; a great aunt,
Elizabeth Pepe, Mount Arlington, NJ; three grandchildren, Sean, Joellen and
Jenniffer; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Shoemaker and a brother,
Carmine A. Sirianni.
