Bob Madigan, Sr., a resident of Saylorsburg, formerly of Scranton, died
Monday evening in Geisinger Wyoming
Valley. He is survived by his
loving companion Stephanie Whalen.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Roland I. and Mary Murphy
Madigan; he was a graduate of Central High School, Scranton, a Vietnam Veteran
serving with the US Army. He was a former
board member for the American Diabetes Association, Wyoming Valley and he was
active with the Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors. He was CEO of Century
Management Systems in Forty Fort until moving to Saylorsburg where he was a
broker with Century 21, Brodheadsville.
Also surviving are a former wife, Agnes Genevich Mayer, Scranton and
their children, Robert Madigan, Jr. and his wife Lisa, Bethlehem, Dr. Susan
Madigan Keller and her husband Patrick, Sandpoint, Idaho; a former wife Carol
Britt Madigan, Shavertown and their children, Erin Madigan, Forty Fort and Colin
Madigan, Shavertown; a sister, Marjorie E. Arnold,
Cinnaminson, NJ; four grandchildren, Jack Whitman Keller, Caroline
Madigan, Thomas Madigan and Megan Madigan, 3 nieces, Kelly, Kim and Amelia and a
nephew Ron.
He was preceded in death by a brother John Roland Madigan.
A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the Miller Bean
Funeral Home, 436 Cedar Ave Scranton with Services by Monsignor Dale R. Rupert,
Pastor St. Mary of the Assumption Church and Holy Name of Jesus Church.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family will greet friends from 10 am until 11:30 am.
