Salvatore Ingiaimo

        Salvatore Ingiaimo, very well know as, “Sal the Barber”, 81years of age, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died early Sunday morning in the Mercy Hospital shortly after his arrival.  He and his wife Dolores Ingiaimo celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on January 14th, 2009.

        He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Frank and Grace Talutto Ingiaimo.  He was a veteran of WW II serving with the US Army and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Prior to retirement he was a self employed barber his entire working career.

        Also surviving are his son and caretaker, Sal Ingiaimo Jr. and his wife Misty, Charlotte, NC; two sons, Benjamin Ingiaimo and Joseph Ingiaimo; a brother, Frank Ingiaimo and his wife Margie, Scranton; two granddaughters, Cierra and Leandra.  Nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

        The Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue.  Funeral Services will be held private at the family’s convenience.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the family in care of, Sal Ingiaimo Jr., 16041 G Johnston Road, Suite 146, Charlotte, NC   28277-2566.
