Brenda L. Williams

        Brenda L. Williams, 52, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died late Thursday night.

        She was born in Scranton, the daughter of Louise Parker Williams, Scranton and stepdaughter of the late Howard E. Williams.  She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, a graduate of Scranton Technical High, School Class of 1974 and attended Mansfield College and Marywood College before enlisting in the US Air force.

        She was a devoted mother.  She was a very friendly and loving person who was well loved by all who knew her.  She was an accomplished musician.

        Also surviving are her daughter, Alana E. Parker-Williams, Scranton; two brothers, Myron B. Williams and his wife Donna, Cliffwood, NJ, J. David Jackson and his wife Jennifer, Jessup; two sisters, Rhonda J. Williams, Harrisburg, M. Ellen Williams, Scranton; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.

        Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Bethel A.M.E. Church, 714 North Washington Avenue, Scranton, by the Reverend Mildred Taylor, pastor, Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

        Friends may call on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Bethel A.M.E. Church.  Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Bethel A.M.E. Church, 716 North Washington Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509-3218 or to The Friends of The Poor, 400 Olive Street, Scranton, PA   18509-3260.
