Eleanor E. Hoffman, 88, a lifelong a resident of Scranton died Monday in
the Moses Taylor Hospital shortly after admission.
She was the widow of Ralph D. Hoffman Sr.
who died July 26, 2004.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late George C. and Caroline
Schimpff Milberger. She was a graduate of
Scranton Technical High School, attended Penn State University.
She was a member of the Hickory Street
Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and an Elder, a member of the
Women of Hickory and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Prior to retirement she had been employed by Gross Brown Insurance
Agency.
She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and gardening
Surviving are a son, Ralph D. Hoffman Jr., Scranton; a daughter, Linda C.
Lorinsky, and her husband Lewis, Stonington, CT; a granddaughter, Jaclyn
Kornegay and her husband William, Groton, CT; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be on Thursday with Services at 11 a.m. in the Miller
Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, by the Reverend Tom H. Collins,
pastor of Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Interment,
Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
