Georgianna E. Barcomb

Georgianna E. Barcomb, 66, a resident of Scranton for 63 years, died
Wednesday afternoon in the Community Medical Center Intensive Care Unit.
She was born in New York state, the daughter of the late Conrad and Anna
Warner Barcomb, stepdaughter of Betty Cooley Schmidt, Scranton and the late
Raymond Schmidt. She was a member of the
Holy Family Church and prior to retirement she had been employed by the
Clarolite Co. and Vepplex Co.
She loved playing bingo and doing crafts, she was blind since birth but
it did not handicap her or her spirit. She
will be missed but not forgotten.
Also surviving are her sister, Connie Barcomb, Jacksonville, FL; a
stepsister, Anne Brooks, Jacksonville, FL; two stepbrothers, Teddy Schmidt,
Scranton and Kevin Schmidt.
The funeral will be Sunday in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436
Cedar Avenue with Services at 7:00 p.m., by Chaplain Mary Scialla.
Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
