
Frieda K. Robertson

Frieda K. Robertson, 83, a longtime resident of the East Mountain section
of Scranton and Lake Sheridan, died early Wednesday morning at home after a
brief illness. She and her husband, Ralph
W. Robertson, a resident of the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, would have
celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary October 16, 2009.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Emil H. and Frieda D.
Bresser Klatt Sr., a graduate of Scranton Central High School and Lackawanna
Business School. She was a lifelong
member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, an ordained Elder and
President of the Women of Hickory.
She was active in many church organizations and events including the Girl
Scouts, the Women’s Auxiliary for Boy Scout Troop #16.
She was a past board member of the YWCA,
past president of the Whittier School PTA; she was a volunteer for Lackawanna
Branch of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, vision screening program
for the Scranton School District.
She was also a founding member of the Dizzy Lizzies Club (D.L. Canasta Club).
Her church and family were most important to her.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister,
grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who will be dearly
missed and a faithful correspondent to all her family and friends.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed singing and spending many summers up
at Lake Sheridan.
The family would like to express their

Surviving are a son, Ralph K. Robertson and his wife Sally, Scranton;
three daughters, Virginia R. Marcks and her husband Carl, Scranton, Dorothea A.
Quatra and her husband Santo, Scranton, Elaine R. Fernandez and her husband
Kenneth, Bernville; a brother, Emil H. Klatt, Scranton; ten grandchildren,
Amanda M. Hopkins, Kimberly M. McIntyre, Ariella E. Quatra, Leane D. Quatra,
Laura Q. Evans, Emilie J. Robertson, Jesse E. Robertson, Ellyse E. Fernandez, Blaise R. Fernandez and Janelle E. Fernandez; six great grandchildren, Adin P.
Hopkins, Carolyn G. Hopkins, Thomas J. McIntyre, Joseph R. McIntyre, Nora V.
Evans and William R. Evans; nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister in law, Dorothy Klatt.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Hickory Street
Presbyterian Church, 435 Hickory Street, with Services by the Rev. Dr. Mary Jane
Hitt, Pastor of the Providence Presbyterian Church.
Interment will be in the Dunmore
Cemetery, Dunmore. Those attending the
Services are asked to assemble directly at the Church.
