Margaret Mary Jones, 75, a long time resident of Scranton died Monday
afternoon with her family by her side after a brief illness.
She was the widow of Milford A. Jones who died October 16, 1983.
Her loving companion of seventeen years
is Nicholas Franchella, Scranton.
She was born in Dunmore, the daughter of the late Francis and Jane Louise
Cowher Kizer.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to
those who knew her. She loved spending
time with her family and dog Sophie.
Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret Hazel Kubelis, Springbrook; three
sons, Milford “Moose” Jones Jr., Scranton, Harry Jones, Maplewood and Leo
Gingerlowski; a stepson, Robert Jones, Scranton; two sisters, Helen Smith,
Daleville, Marie Frisbie, Scranton; four brothers, Robert Kizer, John Kizer,
Thomas Kizer, Francis Kizer, all of Scranton; eleven grandchildren, five great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, David James Jones, July 2, 1985 and a
daughter Betty Ann Gingerlowski.
The funeral will be Friday with a blessing service at 10 a.m. in the
Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue. Interment, Maple Wood
Evangelical Cemetery, Lake Township.
