Anna Mae “Midge” Hartman, 96, a lifelong resident of Scranton died
Thursday afternoon in the Moses Taylor Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the widow of Charles C. Hartman
who died on November 24, 1960.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Fred and Florence
Chubb Becker, a member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church and involved
with many church activities. Including
the Women of Hickory, Adult Fellowship and the Quilters Club.
Prior to retirement she had been employed
by the Globe Store in downtown Scranton.
Surviving are brother in law and sister in law, Wesley Hartman and
Caroline Hartman, Scranton; two nieces, Janet Hunt, Scranton, Carol Morgan,
Scranton; a nephew, Wesley Hartman, Scranton; other nieces, nephews, great
nieces and great nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by the Reverend Tom H. Collins,
pastor. Interment will follow in the
Shady Lane Cemetery, South Abington Township.
