Anne E. Healey, RN, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died early Saturday
morning in the Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
She and her husband Joseph C. Healey
celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on November 20th 2009.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late James and Madelyn
Murtagh Berry. She graduated from Holy
Rosary High School and the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a member of St. Mary’s of the
Assumption Church, prior to its closing, a Eucharistic minister and now a member
of St. Paul of the Cross Church. She was
currently employed as a teacher’s assistant at Marion Catholic Elementary
School, Scranton and a volunteer at the Scranton Cultural Center.
After graduating from nursing school she started her career as an
Registered Nurse in Atlantic City, NJ later returning to Scranton and continued
nursing at the Mercy Hospital. After
marrying and starting her family, her life was devoted to raising her children
and later enjoying her grandchildren, never missing one of their many sporting
events. Working with the children at
Marion Catholic Elementary School brought her great joy. She was devoted to her
faith and attended mass daily.
She will be missed by her family and friends.

Ellen M. Rasimovich and her husband Frank, Scranton; six sons, Patrick J. Healey
Esq., Philadelphia, Joseph P. Healey and his wife Ann Marie, Scranton, Chris
Healey and his wife Maura, Scranton, Daniel Sean Healey, Esq., and his wife Ryan
Brooke, San Francisco, Matthew Healey, at home and Martin Healey, San Francisco;
ten grandchildren, Kathleen Healey, Joseph Healey, Stephanie Healey, Jacob
Rasimovich, Connor Rasimovich, Bridget Rasimovich, Meghan Healey, Andrew Healey,
Luke Healey and Rory Healey; two cousins, Ted Bloom, Scranton and Tom Bloom,
Scranton.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and
Mary
Church, 1217 Prospect Avenue. Interment
will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
