Josephine “Honey” Mizerek, 90, a resident of Scranton since 1985,
formerly of Bloomfield, NJ, died Saturday evening in the Moses Taylor Hospital
after a brief illness.
She was born in Bloomfield NJ., the daughter of the late Peter and Mary
Sudul Mizerek. She was a member of
the Nativity of Our Lord Church and a former member of Sacred Heart Church,
Bloomfield NJ. She was active in the
Monday evening rosary service at Allied Services.
Prior to retirement she was employed by Peerless Tube Co., Bloomfield NJ.
Surviving are nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great
nieces, great great nephews, great great great nieces and great great great
nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Frances Compton, Catherine
Eulo, Helen Simmons, Blanche Martinak, Jeannett Bienkowski; three brothers,
Frank Mizerek, Peter Mizerek and William Mizerek.
The funeral will be on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Nativity of Our Lord
Church, 633 Orchard Street. Interment
will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield, NJ.
