
Edith M. "Edie" Milner

Edith M. “Edie” Milner, 91, a resident of Scranton, died early Sunday
evening in the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit at the Community Medical Center after
a brief illness. She was the widow of
Edmund “Eddie” Milner who died October 18, 2005. At the time of his death they
were married for 64 years.
She was born April 27, 1918 in Scranton, the daughter the late Charles
and Emily Anderson Seibert. She was a
graduate of Scranton Technical High School Class of 1936, a member of the
Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Gideon Society and
the Big Band Society. For many years
she was a volunteer at the Moses Taylor Hospital and a member of the Auxiliary
serving as Past President, Treasurer, Secretary and Historian.
Prior to retiring she had been employed
by various catering services and the Former Holiday Inn, Scranton.
Surviving are a brother,
Charles Seibert, Scranton, a granddaughter, Kimberly Lotz Jynella and her
husband Bill, Cape Coral, FL, a grandson, Ryan Lotz and his wife Casey, Clarks
Summit, five great grandsons, BillyJynella, Wilhelm Jynella, Shane Jynella,
Jacob Lotz, Kenadi Lotz; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Lotz and granddaughter,
Kristen Lotz; who were killed in an automobile accident in 1980.
The funeral will be at Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by the Rev. Tom H. Collins, pastor
of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Interment
will follow in the Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore.
