
Ruth L. Klatt Walter

Ruth L. Klatt Walter, 94, a lifelong resident of Scranton died Wednesday
morning in the Abington Manor Nursing Home, after an illness.
She was the widow of Carl W. Walter who died February 9, 2002.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Frederick A. and
Lillian Bessmer Klatt. She was a graduate
of Scranton Technical High School and a member of the Trinity Congregational
United Church of Christ.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who
loved her family.
Surviving are two sons, Lee B. Walter and his wife Joann, Scranton; Bruce
C. Walter and his wife Mary, Huntingtown, MD; five grandchildren, David Walter
and his wife Michelle, Daniel Walter and his wife Lori, Rebecca Reno and her
husband Jeff, Stephen Walter and his wife Lisa, Jeffrey Walter; ten great
grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a two brothers, Robert Klatt and Charles
Klatt; three sisters, Helen Yaggi, Margaret Klatt, Edna Yungkurth.
The funeral will be on Friday in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436
Cedar Avenue, with services at 11:00 a.m. by the Reverend William Jones,
assistant pastor of the Evangelical Free Bible Church, Clarks Summit.
Interment will follow in the Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore.
