Archie G. Tompkins Jr.

Archie G. Tompkins Jr., 70, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Wednesday in
the Mercy Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit after an illness.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Archie G. and Laura Cohwer Tompkins
Sr. Prior to retirement he was employed
by Norm’s Transmission Service.
Surviving are a son, Archie G. Tompkins III, Moosic; a brother, Christopher
Cohwer, Lenox; a sister Joan Tompkins Corker, Maryland; two granddaughters,
Ashlee M. Tompkins, Scranton, Tara Frisch, Scranton; three great grandchildren,
Nevaeh Tompkins, Alayna Tompkins and Tyler Frisch, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Tompkins
Cremation service took place at Maple Hill Crematory, Hanover Township.
The Family will greet friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Miller
Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, Scranton.
