Sean J. “Chuck” McLaud, 51, a long time resident of South Scranton, died
unexpectedly Thursday at home.
He was born in Madrid, Spain, the son of the late Philip and Marcella
Mead McLaud.
He attended Scranton
Technical High School and was a skilled weaver by trade.
He served four years with the United
States Army and was stationed in Korea.
He will be greatly missed by his family, especially his nieces Rachel,
Katie and Kelly, whom he was like a second father to.
Surviving are three brothers, Michael McLaud and Philip McLaud, both of
Scranton, with whom he resided, and Brian McLaud, Fairlee, MD, a sister Lori
McLaud Heisey, Columbia; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Monday at 8 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home,
Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by the Reverend Arthur W. Davis, pastor of
the Asbury United Methodist Church.
Cremation
will be private at Maple Hill Crematory, Hanover Township.
Private inurnment of his cremains will be
held in Indian Town Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
