Barbara J. “Judy” Hunter, 67, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died early
Sunday morning in the Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness.
She was the widow of Howard H. Hunter who
died June 29, 1999.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Blanche
Kolodjeski Gallitz. She was a graduate of
Scranton Technical High School Class of 1960 and a member of the former Saint
Mary’s of the Assumption Church. Prior to
retirement she was employed by Romart Inc.
She was a wonderful mother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed
by all who knew and loved her. She was a
very charitable woman donating to many causes in NEPA and she loved her cat
George.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oncology Associates of NEPA
and the staff at Moses Taylor Hospital for their care and concern.
Surviving are a daughter, Tracy Spitalnick and her husband Mark,
Goodyear, AZ; a son Kevin Brislin and his wife Laurie, Scott Township; a sister
and best friend, Carol Gallitz, Scranton; an aunt, Stella Gallitz, Moscow;
cousin Maryann Brancati, Moscow.
There will be no public viewing or services.
Cremation services took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Hanover
Township.
