Maria E. Burrier

Maria E. Burrier, 69, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died late Saturday
night, at home after an illness. She
and her husband Donald R. Burrier celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on
July 29, 2010.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late August and Sara
Mendicino Santoli. She was a
graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a lifelong member of Saint
Rocco’s Church, Dunmore, now SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, aunt and
cousin who will be missed by her family and friends.
Her favorite time of year was Christmas, and she loved children.
Also surviving are a daughter, Donna M. Burrier, Scranton; a son, Richard
Burrier and his wife Lisa, Scranton; a sister, Sally Onofrey, Scranton; six
grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Funeral will be Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in
Saint Rocco Church, 122 Kurtz Street, Dunmore.
Interment will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
