
Valeria V. Little

Valeria V. Little, 86, a longtime resident of Scranton died Friday
afternoon in the VNA Hospice inpatient unit at the Community Medical Center
after a short illness. She and her
husband Eugene R. Little would have celebrated their 66th wedding
anniversary on January 21, 2011.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV and as a young child her family moved to
Scranton. She was the daughter of
the late John Wesley and Nettie Perry Moore, a graduate of Scranton Technical
High School and a former member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church where she enjoyed
singing in the choir. She was active with
the Scranton Technical High School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and a former
board member for the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, Scranton.
The family will miss their mother.
Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy Harris, Quakertown; two sons,
Richard Little, Scranton, Warren Little, Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, six
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne E. Little.
The funeral will be on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by the Reverend Dr. Darlene Jenkins,
pastor of the Bethel A.M.E. Church.
Interment will follow in the Dunmore Cemetery, Dunmore.
