Charles Seibert, Jr., 94, a lifelong resident of Scranton died Friday
night in the Mountain View Care Center. His
wife, the former Margaret M. Kramer, died June 7, 1991.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Charles J.C. and Emily
Anderson Seibert. He was a member of
the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Scranton Technical High
School Class of 1934 and a graduate of the Lackawanna Business College.
He was a veteran of WW II serving with
the US Navy, a member of the American Legion Major Edward J. Poch Post #948,
South Scranton, the Dupont Veterans of Foreign War Post #4909 and past member of
the Big Band Society. Prior to retirement
he was a Vice-President of the Citizens Savings and Loan Association.
Surviving is a niece, Kimberly Lotz Jynella, Cape Coral, FL.
He was preceded in death by a sister Edith M. Milner.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue with services by the Reverend Tom H. Collins,
Pastor of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church.
Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
