Helen L. Schmitt

Helen L. Schmitt, 97, a longtime resident of
Scranton died Tuesday morning in the Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
She
was the widow of Frederick Schmitt who died May 11, 1977.
She was born in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of the
late Glenn and Pansy Hooley Jennings.
Surviving are seven children, Robert Burch, Plains,
Dawn Sharer and her husband Robert, Binghamton, NY, Fred Schmitt and his wife
MaryAnn, Scranton, Barbara Summa, Dunmore, William Schmitt and his wife Gloria,
Moosic, Girard Schmitt, Plains and Dianne Summa and her husband Paul, Olyphant;
a sister, Beatrice, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five children, Glenn
Burch, Shirley VanKuren, Elizabeth Schaffer, Mary Jane Jones and Chester
Schmitt.
