
Margaret C. Kochon

Margaret C. Kochon, 86, a resident of
Wescosville, formerly of Scranton, Pennsylvania, died Sunday evening at the
Lehigh Valley Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the widow of John Kochon who died on May 29,
1976.
Margaret was born in Scranton, the daughter of the
late Hubert and Gretchen Schoeps Hamm.
A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, she
was a very active member of the former St. John’s Lutheran Church, now Saint
Matthew’s United Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She served as Treasurer of the Church, Vice
President of the Church Council, Chair of the Music and Worship Committee, and
was a member of the church choir.
Prior to retirement, she supervised the Bookkeeping
and Operations Department at the Scranton National Bank.
Margaret passed away surrounded by her loving family
and is survived by two sons, Kent L. Kochon and his wife, Barbara, Hopedale, MA;
Rob Kochon and his wife, Carol, West Lafayette, IN; two daughters, Judy M.
Brady, and her husband, Phil, Wescosville, with whom Margaret resided; Karen C.
Cubiotti and her husband, Shawn, Rochester, NY; seventeen grandchildren, and
thirteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Saint
Matthew’s United Evangelical Lutheran Church, 425 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton,
PA. with interment following at Forest Hill Cemetery, Dunmore.
