Lisa Ann Marie Purta, 47, a lifelong resident of Scranton died Saturday
at home after a brief illness.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter Leonard Purta and step daughter of
Robyn Purta, Springbrook Township, and daughter of the late Janet McLaughlin.
She was a volunteer for the Friends of
the Poor at Thanksgiving time. She
loved pizza, animals, the outdoors, going camping, spending time at the lake,
helping with holidays, birthday events and talking to her friends, especially
her best friend Marg.
Surviving is her companion Terry Miller, Scranton; a son Keith Wormuth,
Carbondale Township, a sister, Lori Bohr and her husband Robert, Olyphant; a
half brother, Leonard Jr., three half sisters, Traci Lis, Mellody and Noelle,
all of Springbrook Township; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held on Friday at 8 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with services by the Reverend Tom H. Collins,
pastor of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
