MaryAnn Strasburger, 82, a longtime resident of
Scranton died Sunday afternoon in the Moses Taylor Hospital after a brief
illness. She
was the widow of Robert Strasburger who died on October 14, 1983.
She was born in Olyphant, the daughter of the late
Joseph and Pearl McKenzie Bonk.
She
was a member of the former Saint Mary of the Assumption Church; now Saint John
Neumann Parish. Prior
to retirement she had worked at the Globe Store for twenty-five years and for
Serving Seniors Inc. for fifteen years.
She enjoyed bus trips she had taken and spending
time with her family at the cottage on Lake Spangenberg
Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Tomlinson,
Scranton; two grandsons, Jeffrey M. Tomlinson and his fiancé Lisa Stohr,
Scranton, William R. Tomlinson and his significant other, Michelle Collins,
Scranton; two great grandsons, Brayden and Michael, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Bonk
and a son in law, Michael Tomlinson.
The funeral will be held on Thursday with a Blessing
Service at 10:30 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue.
Interment
will follow in Saint Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Township.
