Angela Rose Brown
March 2, 2011
Angela Rose Brown, 90, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Wednesday
evening at home. She and her husband
Robert E. “Bob” Brown had been married for sixty years at the time of his death,
July 23, 2005.
She was born April 16, 1920 in Scranton, the daughter of the late Carmen
and Angela Marie Buccarelli Marshall. She
was educated in the Scranton School District, worked at Capitol Records, and
Stauffer’s Defense Plant prior to her marriage in 1945.
Angela had a very strong faith and said the rosary daily.
She was a member of Saint Francis of
Assisi Church until she and her husband Bob became ill in 2002 and moved to East
Mountain to live with her daughter Debbie, son in law Kevin, and family.
She then became a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, now part of Saint
John Neumann Parish.
Angela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Her family was most important to her and she made it her life’s goal to
spend quality time with everyone. Nana,
as her grandchildren called her, enjoyed playing scrabble, crossword puzzles and
having Sunday breakfast with her family.
She also loved to crochet and each family member has a personalized
blanket to keep her memory alive.
The family would like to say thank you to Dr. Richard Martin for his many
years of care and support, Hospice Community Care, Dunmore and At Home Quality
Care. And extend a special thank you
to Maureen Coyle for her compassion, dedication and excellent care of Angela.
Surviving are, two daughters, Karen McNulty and her husband Tom, Debbie
Wetzel and her husband Kevin, all of Scranton; five grandchildren, Erin Harris
and husband Kevin, Kathleen McNulty, Kelly Triano and her husband Tom, Sean
Wetzel, Shannon Wetzel and her boyfriend Jason Rihaly; six great-grandchildren,

Many nieces and nephews; longtime friends, Rosemary and Bob Fanucci, whom
she loved as family.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Marshall, Mary Basil and
Emily Perino; two brothers, Carmen Marshall and William Marshall Mascioli.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the
