Dolores Leoncini, 78, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Tuesday
afternoon at home, after an illness.
She and her husband Albert Leoncini would have celebrated their 53rd
wedding anniversary on June 28th.
She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lottie
Rozoncki Ellard. She attended the
Moosic Assembly of God Church and prior to starting her family she was employed
by Family Garment.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin; who
loved her family and faith. She was an
avid shopper and will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Hospice Community Care for their kind and
compassionate care.
Also surviving are two sons, Albert V. Leoncini Jr. and his wife Tydvil,
Scranton, Arthur W. Leoncini and his wife Michele, Davenport, FL; a daughter,
Deborah Hafner and her husband Paul, Scranton; five grandchildren, Ashley
Leoncini, Danielle Hafner, Abby Leoncini, Brandon Hafner and Austin Leoncini;
two sisters, Gladys Skiscim, Dunmore and Emily Liparulo, Binghamton, NY; many
nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by an infant son Charles, a brother, William
Ellard; two sisters, Evelyn Moxen, Florence Klimaitis.
The funeral will be on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services at 10 a.m. in the Moosic Assembly of God Church, 477 Third
Street, Moosic, by the Reverend David O’Brien, pastor.
Interment will follow in the Italian American Cemetery, Scranton.
