Leonard C. “Lenny” Reuther, 60, a resident of Scranton, died early Sunday
morning in the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at the Community Medical Center after
a lengthy illness.
He was born in Scranton, the son of the late Leonard A. and Helen B.
Yetzina Reuther. He was a graduate
of Scranton Technical High School and employed by Pocono Pure Water, Inc.,
Scranton.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.
He was loved by everyone who knew him.
The light of his life was his
granddaughter Natalie.
He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with
his lifelong friend, Dave Bartuska.
He also enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are a son Michael L. Reuther and his fiancé, Christine Pisa, Old Forge; a daughter, Eva M. DePre and her husband William, Lake Ariel; a granddaughter, Natalie Grace Reuther; two sisters, Susan Coleman and her husband John, Dunmore, DeSalle Reuther, and her companion Robert Ferranti, Scranton; a niece, Carrie Coleman; a nephew, Matthew Coleman; mother of his children and friend, Eva C. Reuther, Taylor; companion and friend, Chrissy Stapleton, Scranton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Miller Bean Funeral
Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Mass at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Hearts of Jesus
and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Avenue. Interment
will be private at the convenience of the family.
