Marcina Pearl Heim, 69, a lifelong resident of Scranton died early Monday
morning in the Northeast PA Inpatient Hospice unit in the Regional Hospital of
Scranton. She was the widow of Richard
John Heim who died March 5, 1992.
She was born in Lebanon, PA, the daughter of Daniel Capwell, Taylor and
the late Gladys A. Owens Capwell. She was
a graduate of Scranton Technical High School.
In addition to her father, also surviving are a son, Richard John Heim,
Jr., Scranton; a daughter, Lisa Lynch and her husband David, Roaring Brook
Township; a brother, Daniel J. Capwell, Taylor; three grandchildren, Sara Heim,
Dunmore, Michael Miller Bean, Elmhurst and Alyssa Lynch, Roaring Brook, Twp.;
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marcina lived for her family. She spent much of her time at family
gatherings,
a highlight for her was watching the Yankees games with her son Richard, and she
was supportive of her family’s athletic events. She always looked forward to her
annual “girl’s weekend” with her daughter and granddaughters and also enjoyed
the time she spent with her grandson.
She was preceded in death by her mother in law, Margaret Weller Heim
Kearney; father in law George Heim and stepfather in law, Martin Kearney; a
sister in law, Barbara R. Capwell.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home,
Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue, with Services by the Reverend Tom H. Collins, pastor of
the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. Interment
will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
