
Lee Thomas Glover Sr.

Lee Thomas Glover Sr., who was nicknamed “Bo”,
was born on August 20, 1937 in Granville County, North Carolina to the late
Sandy and Lois Glover.
He
was also welcomed into the world by his two older sisters, Leora and the late
Cora Mae.
Lee had a happy childhood.
He
was educated in the public school system of Granville County.
He
attended the Red Bud Baptist Church.
He
moved to New York in his early twenties.
He
was employed by Horn & Hardart.
He
later went to work at New York Special Surgery Hospital and finally landed a
position working at General Motors Corporation, Tarrytown, New York.
His
position there was Assembly Line Technician.
After
21 years of service, Lee retired.
As
a result of his service he received numerous employee recognition awards as well
as community service awards.
After Lee’s retirement he enjoyed serving his
community through volunteering with the Tenant Patrol.
He
also liked to take long walks, participated in community activities and just
hang out with his friends in the community and around their cars in the parking
lot. It
sometimes seemed like a senior reunion.
Lee
always had a smile and greeted everyone.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from
whence cometh my
help.
My
help cometh from the Lord; which made heaven and earth.
As we honor his memory, he leaves to morn his
two children Lee T. Glover Jr. and his wife Linda, Vivian Pitchford and her
husband Alexander, both of Pennsylvania, two Spiritual daughters, Kim (N.Y.),
Pamela (Atlanta), a dear, dear friend Betty Foat (N.Y.), two sisters, Leora
Peace and her husband Rev. Hugh (N.C.) and Dorothy Glover (N.Y.).
He
leaves eight grandchildren Charise, Belinda, Tewana, Kimberly, Krystal, Lee III,
Kristopher, and Mileeya as well as two Spiritual grandchildren Jasmine and
Mahki, as well as sixteen great grandchildren.
He
also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Lee will be missed by all as he travels on his
journey to heaven where he will have a reunion with his two daughters who
preceded him in death, Dorothy Mae and Michelle.
The funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m.
in the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc., 436 Cedar Avenue.
Interment
will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Dunmore.
